What is the Pantone Colour Of The Year for 2021?
For the last two decades, Pantone has unveiled an official colour of the year. This year’s Pantone colour of the year is Ultimate Grey (17-5104) and Illuminating (13-0647) are two independent colours, but when combined they ‘support one another, [and] best express the mood for [the year ahead]’. Their union is one that denotes strength and positivity; ‘encapsulating deeper feelings of thoughtfulness with the promise of something sunny and friendly’.
The ultimate message translated through the selection of these colours is that they are aspirational and give us a sense of hope. Right now, this is something that we all need to feel. We need to feel that everything is going to get brighter, it’s essential to the human spirit.
